Deconstruct è un’indagine visiva e materica sull’abito come codice identitario. Nella società contemporanea, ciò che indossiamo viene spesso interpretato come un segnale immediato di appartenenza culturale, sociale o politica. Questo lavoro parte dalla volontà di sospendere l’abito della sua funzione estetica e simbolica, per metterne in discussione il ruolo nella costruzione dell’identità. Attraverso un processo di ossidazione, i tessuti vengono trasformati: la materia si altera, si consuma, assume nuove forme. Le superfici portano i segni di un cambiamento, tracciati che evocano percorsi individuali e collettivi, al di fuori di ogni classificazione rigida. In Deconstruct, l’abito perde la sua forma originaria per diventare spazio aperto, in cui l’identità si mostra come qualcosa di mutevole e non lineare. È un gesto che si oppone alle semplificazioni imposte, un invito a guardare oltre ciò che appare.

Deconstruct is a visual and material investigation of clothing as an identity code. In contemporary society, what we wear is often interpreted as an immediate sign of cultural, social, or political belonging. This work stems from the desire to suspend clothing from its aesthetic and symbolic function, in order to question its role in the construction of identity. Through a process of oxidation, the fabrics are transformed: the material alters, decays, and takes on new forms. The surfaces bear marks of change-traces that evoke individual and collective journeys, beyond any rigid classification. In Deconstruct, the garment loses its original shape to become an open space where identity reveals itself as fluid and nonlinear. It's a gesture that resists imposed simplifications, an invitation to look beyond what appears.
